The “to be” verb changes almost completely in most of its forms.
Examples:

The verbs have got and have mean the same. Have got is more informal. We use have (got) here to refer to both verbs:

We use have (got) to talk about possession, relationships, characteristics and illnesses

-Present simple
The present tense is the base form of the verb, but with the third person singular (he / she / it), we add an –s. Present simple and present time we use the present simple to talk about:something that is true in the present, something that happens regularly in the present, something that is always true.
Examples:
I’m a student
I play football every weekend.

-Adverbs of frequency
Adverbs that change or qualify the meaning of a sentence by telling us how often or how frequently something happens are defined as adverbs of frequency.
examples:

The present continuous verb tense indicates that an action or condition is happening now, frequently, and may continue into the future.
The Present Continuous Formula: to be [am, is, are] + verb [present participle]
